Privacy
Last updated October 19, 2026
This policy covers besaforge.com and the apps BesaForge publishes on the App Store.
The short version
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't show ads, we don't use your data for advertising, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
- What you create in our apps stays on your device, or in your own iCloud account, whenever possible.
Data that stays with you
Things you create in our apps, such as saved items, settings, and progress, are stored on your device. If you use iCloud, they may also sync through your private iCloud account. We can't see or access that data. If an app asks for your location, it's used on your device and isn't sent to us.
Usage and crash data
Our apps can send us anonymous usage statistics and crash reports. They help us see what gets used and fix problems. They aren't linked to your name or account, and they never include the content of anything you write, save or record. You can turn them off in each app's settings.
Accounts
Some features ask you to sign in with Apple. We don't ask Apple for your name or email. We keep an identifier for your account and what you save to it, so it's there on your other devices. You can delete your account from inside the app.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never receive your payment details. We may receive transaction records from Apple that are needed to unlock the features you paid for.
Service providers
We use a few service providers for analytics, crash reporting, purchases and hosting. They handle data only to provide their service to us, and they must protect it as we do.
Niyyati and Quran Foundation
Niyyati gets its recitation, word-by-word data and tafsir from the Quran Foundation API, the content behind Quran.com. Niyyati is our app, not an official app of Quran Foundation, Quran.com or QuranReflect. It uses no Quran Foundation account, and the content comes through our own server, so Quran Foundation receives nothing about you.
- Your bookmarks, notes, progress and settings stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. We never receive them, so nothing about your faith reaches us. Signing in with Apple happens on your iPhone; our server is contacted only when you ask to remove your account.
- We never build advertising profiles, sell or mine your data, or use anything you write to train AI.
- The providers Niyyati uses, each under its own privacy policy and data-processing terms: Cloudflare (our server), Apple (sign-in, iCloud and purchases), RevenueCat (purchases), TelemetryDeck (usage statistics) and Sentry (crash reports). None of them may use your data or the Quran content for anything else. Data may be handled outside your country; where it leaves the EU, their terms use the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Data travels encrypted and is encrypted where it is stored. Our keys sit only in our servers' secret stores, open only to the people who need them, and are changed when someone's access ends or a key may have been exposed. We act on a security incident within 24 hours.
- When you remove your account, its data leaves our systems within 30 days and our backups within 90. You can ask for a copy of your data or to correct it, and we reply within 30 days.
- If we learn an account belongs to a child under 13, we delete it.
Muhabet
Muhabet isn't released yet. What it keeps, and where, will be set out here before it is.
When you contact us
When you send a message through our contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic you chose, your message, and the country your request came from. We use them only to reply and follow up. We keep your messages in our email inbox and don't add you to mailing lists.
To block spam, the contact form uses a spam-check service, which checks technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots. It handles this data under its own privacy policy and doesn't use it for advertising.
Our websites
Our websites use no advertising and no tracking cookies. They count visits without identifying you. Our hosting and font providers process basic technical information, such as IP addresses, in order to deliver the sites and protect them from abuse.
Children
Our apps aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
- Turn off usage statistics and crash reports in an app's settings.
- Delete an app to remove the data it stored on your device.
- Manage or delete iCloud data in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then iCloud.
- Delete your account from inside the app.
- Contact us to ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted.
We keep data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the affected app's release notes.
